Ive been putting a portfolio together lately and here are some snippets.

first ever plain air paintings

This is a turning point in my career. Although, its just another page in the sketchbook.

I decided to break out the paint and do a portrait of Lucy and I.
a "Beauty and the Beast" if you wil.

I made an effort to explore the differences in his textures from his rough tongue to his soft fluffy fur and short slick fur around his eyes and his wet little nose and teeth. The black backround provides beautiful contrast to the white fur on his neck. I love my dog!
